Canon's Frequently Asked Question page

To check out the Frequently Asked Questions, Canon needs you choose between two choices: “search for solutions based on specific words or phrases” (Keywords) or search “a wide range of solution based on general categories”

What happens when the user just wants to know why their printer isn’t being recognized by the operating system? Is that specific? Is that general? What’s the keyword? What’s the category?

It makes me wonder why they didn’t just put a search field with a list of categories underneath it. I don’t mind choosing between searching and browsing, but I prefer to know what the categories are beforehand to help me make the choice. Not only that, this first click is completely unecessary and redundant because everything could be on the initial page.
