This is an interesting article. From reading this article, I understand that personas are not just based on roles and task but, are personas based on goals and intentions of the user? In the example given in the article, job seeker's goal is to find a job that matches his/her qualification and apply to it. How many different personas can you create in this scenario? I understand that not all job seekers are alike, but their intentions are. So, how can you create different personas for this user?

Thanks,
Madhavi

My company uses personas, although only in a limited way. We have a set of personas that was created as part of a major project by a consulting group. These personas tend to get re-used from project to project, as they represent our core customers. However, i've found that people don't seem to really know these personas - i don't feel like they're real people for our teams. I wonder if this is because they were produced externally. Does anyone have any experience of re-using personas, or of using personas produced externally? Any thoughts on how to make this work better?
