I kid, I kid! Wish I'd been able to catch the live Virtual Seminar, and sounds quite familiar to concepts of Persuasion Architecture that the Grok fellows promote. Interestingly, I thought I hated psychology, but it was simply the poor classes I'd had in high school and college I loathed. As a lyricwriter, marketer, consultant, analyst, and teacher, turns out that knowing how to be persuasive and wield influence (without being creepy), is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. It might be one of the most important skills to have in the UX or any other toolbox. If people aren't taking action, you haven't persuaded. Experiment, measure, improve, and away we go!
