Thank you, Jared Spool, for the message and efforts to make podcasts accessible via transcripts. We greatly appreciate that.

I'm glad to see transcripts for the 4 most recent podcasts, but those are the only transcripts I have seen so far in the past 3 months.

The process can be facilitated by using the services from www.castingwords.com - their turnaround is a few days.

We greatly appreciate if podcasts/videos are posted at same time with transcripts/captions for both deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing users to enjoy - it significantly improves user experience for everyone. It would be not fair if hearing people are enjoying the instant access to audio while we are the last people to get information and are often being told to be "patient" and "wait" for indefinite time - we have enough to deal with hearing world...

Thank you.

Hi Sveta,

It's our goal to provide transcripts for every podcast we make. We have them now for the majority of podcasts we've produced.

The rest are in production. Our production time for transcripts are much longer than we like and we've got a backlog right now, but it's definitely something we're working on.

Stay tuned.

I'd love to let you know what I think about the podcasts, but as a deaf person I have no access to podcasts on your website. Transcripts are required for podcasts as not everyone can hear or understand or access audio - this includes 37 millions of people with hearing loss in the USA only and 278 millions of people with hearing loss worldwide - not to mention millions more who are foreigners, remedial readers, having cognitive problems, relying on processing information via text rather than via audio, etc. As an user experience organization, would you please provide transcripts to all audio files to improve user experience to those who rely on text? Thank you.
