Hotel & Travel Arrangements

The UIE Web Application Design Summit 2003 will be held at the Boston Marriott Cambridge Hotel in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The hotel has reserved a block of rooms for January 27th at a discounted price of $129 per night (not including tax). Use group code WEBWEBA. This price is available until January 20, 2003. After this date, regular rates apply.

Ground Transportation

The official address for the hotel is:
The Boston Marriott Cambridge Hotel
2 Cambridge Center
Cambridge, MA 02142
Phone: (877) 901-2080 or (617) 494-6600

If you're flying, you'll be arriving at Boston's Logan Airport. Here are some options for transportation between the airport and the Boston Marriott Cambridge Hotel:

  1. Taxis are plentiful at Logan airport, but fares can cost in the $20-$25 range.
  2. Public transportation from the airport is significantly cheaper than the taxi but is only for the adventurous, as it involves taking a bus from the airport terminal to the Blue line subway, then changing trains twice to get to the Kendall/MIT stop on the Red line.

Once at the Boston Marriott Cambridge Hotel, the Kendall Square T stop is right at the hotel, making it easy to get around the city. Parking in Boston is scarce and expensive, so renting a car is not recommended.

Parking

For those driving to the conference, there is parking available at the hotel. The Marriott parking garage is $20 per day. The lot across the street is $18 per day.
