Attended UI12

What did you want to learn from the UI Conference?
I hoped to better understand UI techniques so I could incorporate usability testing into our site's development and maintenance cycle. The conference offered several sessions that focused on usability testing. I'm finding it very exciting and fulfilling that's we're now conducting our first usability tests at AdoptUsKids.

How is the UI Conference different from other educational conferences or seminars you've attended?
I find that the UI Conference has more variety of sessions and the presentations go into greater depth than other events I have attended. Between the full-day seminars and 90-minute sessions, there were plenty of topics that piqued my interest.

What were the highlights of your conference experience?
I really enjoyed Christine Perfetti's seminar on paper prototyping.  It was fantastic to try prototyping in the class and I took those techniques and incorporated them into our web process. I also really enjoyed Gerry McGovern's talk on killer web content. Gerry made the topic very interesting and I immediately wanted to go review all of the content on my website.

The conference is packed full of information and well worth the time and money.  I would strongly recommend it to both experienced veterans and people new to the field. This is the kind of conference I would like to attend every year.
