How does the program work?

Each week we’ll take a deep dive into one of the elements of creating a proactive UX strategy:

  1. strategic measurements for your UX (aka having persuasive UX metrics)
  2. grow your organization’s capability to support strategy UX research
  3. crafting a vision of what great UX looks like at your our (aka having a game-changing experience vision)
  4. selling your UX vision and strategy to executives and key stakeholders
  5. delivering increased UX capability through your organization
  6. growing your UX strategy team through effective leadership

We kick-off the program by getting to know you and your organization. We work closely together to define your goals so you get the most from your investment in the program. Once we have a solid plan, tailored for you, we dive into each element of creating a proactive UX strategy. We spend multiple weeks on each element. This gives you the time you need to craft the specific strategy that your organization needs.

Although the topics advance each week, the structure of the program remains the same. Every session is recorded and available to you while you are in the program. You have access to the materials 24/7.

You’ll end each week with a newly-formed action plan, tailored to your current situation, ready for you to implement.

Monday: A one-hour Talk UX Strategy session, which is often on the UX Strategy Leader's topic of the week. (But not every week.) This session is open to everyone in the Leaders of Awesomeness community, so there are often 400 or more people attending.

While Monday sessions are opened to the community, Tuesday-Friday sessions are only for members of the Center Centre UX Strategy Leaders program. This means the sessions are intimate. Which means you’ll have a ton of access to Jared.

Tuesday: A one-hour Topic Up-Close session, where we explore the topic in-depth and discuss its subtleties and nuances. This is tailored for the organizations attending the session to address their specific needs. Each week, there's homework assigned to map the topic directly to your UX strategy.

Wednesday: A one-hour Strategy Reflection session, where we reflect on what you've done in the past. What has worked and what hasn't?

Thursday: A one-hour Strategy Planning session, where we look forward and plan the next steps for you to take. What will you do differently in the next week? In the next month? Over the next year? We'll review the homework in this session.

Friday: A one-hour Hot Seat session, where up to four organizations bring challenges for the group to work through. These challenges can be on any topic. They don't have to be specific to what we talked about that week (but they often turn out to be).

We record every session, so if you miss one, you can catch up easily.

The topics are published in advance, so you can choose which sessions you wish to attend.

Most people spend, at most, an hour or 2 in the program each week. During weeks where the topic is very relevant, We've seen people spend 5 or more hours when the topic is super relevant to their work.

Some people skip entire weeks. They'll catch up by watching the recordings, if the topics are of interest.

What you get out of this program is what you put into it. It's clear the people spending the most time in the program see the most change in their organizations. We move the session times around to accommodate as many folks as we can. Currently, we have members from 18 different time zones.

Every session is recorded and posted in the program. You can watch any recorded session at your convenience.
